Windows Phone App Review: Sleep
Sleep is one of the many sound generators available over at the Windows Phone Marketplace designed to assistance you relax and fall asleep easier. And we all know that a good night's sleep is essential for good health and fettle.
Nosotros've covered several and Sleep holds its own amidst the sleep/sound/relaxation apps nosotros've tried. There's withal some room for improvement but overall, Sleep own't besides shabby.
Sleep has a simple layout with your choices of sounds lining up along the lesser of the screen in a serial of tiles. Your sound choices include:
- Rain
- Military camp Burn
- Clock
- Wind
- Birds
- Fan
- Ocean
- Driving on a rainy mean solar day
- White Racket (static on the television)
- Urban center Noises
Each sound choice pulls upward an illustrative picture and each sound tin can be pinned to your Start Screen. Merely tap/hold the sounds tile and a pop-up menu volition appear to confirm the pinning. In improver to the main sounds, if you tap on the arrow on the side of the screen you lot will detect several add-on sounds. The add-on sounds includes thunder, current of air, frogs, crickets, and chimes.
Upward height you have the current time displayed with button controls to pull upward a timer and admission the Near Screen. At the very top of the screen is a book bar. The developer notes that in-app volume is a footling buggy with HTC Windows Phones simply I didn't have a trouble with Slumber running on my HTC Titan.
All in all, I liked Slumber. It has a decent variety of sounds, like shooting fish in a barrel interface and the add-on sounds are a nice touch. I just don't know if frog sounds go with body of water sounds. The but nit I accept with Sleep is that there is no mode to turn off the sounds within the app. You can switch amongst the sounds merely to turn them off completely y'all have to exit the app.
Slumber is a complimentary, ad-free app that you can take hold of here at the Windows Telephone Marketplace.
